After creating a series of Bronze candelabras called “Sprue” the concept for jewelry embodying the same materiality took shape shortly afterwards. Through the manipulation of string wax Clermont takes on a very unique hand made feel of sculptural structure. The cage-like necklace beads are adorned with Japanese cotton cord to give balance to the unexpected bold forms and provide an additional level of femininity and sophistication.
