ASSEMBLAGE WOOD DINING TABLE

Thin hardwood slats are glued along finely beveled edges to form precise triangular wooden tubes. The tubes are then glued together into larger assemblages to create incredibly strong, yet completely hollow structures. The organization of the triangular tubes dictate the exterior form. Six triangular tubes form each of the hexagonal legs elevating an incredibly rigid yet hollow top that you can see straight through, from one end to the other.

Edition of 5 + 1 AP.

The Assemblage Wood Dining Table is a Limited Edition work designed and produced by Fort Standard’s designer Gregory Buntain. These limited works provide a more focused avenue for exploration allowing a deeper dive into personal interests without the broader constraints of standard furnishings. While maintaining a functional use within the context of the home, these works often push natural materials and processes outside of their normal context and beyond conventional use. These limited works may be one-off, limited edition or private commission.  Please inquire if you are interested in collaborating on a custom piece.
